The Wildlife Team (Workpackage 4 and 5) provide samples of blood (for serology and nucleic acid analysis), and of saliva, faeces and tissues (for nucleic acid analysis) for WP2 and 3. Samples derive from our Associate and Collaborative Partners within Europe (EU and non-EU countries) and from countries which are either: 1) EU neighbour countries, 2) importers of animal material and food products into the EU, or 3) have specialist experience in wildlife diseases and management.

These workpackages include processing & shipment of existing archived samples to the Technology Centre. The tasks involve the coordination of the sample coding, legal issues, import-export regulations, etc.
